Facilitating the vision to bring a free Montessori education to Cleveland’s east side, TKG was engaged renovate the 40,000 square feet Amasa Stone House for the home of Stonebrook Montessori School. Built in 1930 by Samuel Mather and named after the Cleveland industrialist Amasa Stone, the building, located in the Glennville neighborhood of Cleveland, formerly served as a senior living facility until closing in 2004 for which it remained empty until 2014.

The building contains (13) total classrooms and provides space for up to 300 students from pre-primary to 6th grade, serving as a shining example of a high profile building whose structure provided the foundation for an adaptive re-use project that breathed new life into a neighborhood.
